AXD specialise in the design, installation and commissioning of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning services (HVAC). We provide all leading manufacturers equipment, including Samsung Climate Solutions, Mitsubishi electric, Daikin, Panasonic, Toshiba
and Hitachi. We work across all areas of the UK and have implemented a broad range of projects including multi level office fit outs, hotels, schools, Gyms and large domestic.
Element is a 39,150 sq ft office over 3 floors and an additional Mezzanine with roof garden in Birchwood.
11 Samsung VRF systems with exposed ducted indoor units have been installed with 20 ERV Heat Recovery units providing fresh air. The systems are supported by the Samsung b.IoT software that promotes energy efficiency building operation.
The project won the commercial installation of the year at the national energy savings awards in London.
Element
101 Princess Street
This project involved the strip out of the existing redundant air conditioning systems and the supply and installation of new Daikin VRV systems with exposed ducted units to the 3rd and 4th floors. The grilles were all fitted with coanda plates to prevent cold draughts. The external units were powder coated to match the slate walls to meet strict local planning requirements before being lifted to the roof plant area.
Smithfield & Clayworks
This project in Stoke on Trent consisted of the supply and installation of 3 No. new Mitsubishi Electric VRF systems, split systems for comms rooms and Lossnay units providing fresh air.
All units and services were exposed with control being provided by a combination of central controllers to each of the 3 floors over 2 buildings.
New Kitchens, showers and WCs were installed in each area.
TOWER 12
The Tower12 project included a refurbishment of the building reception and the previous Manchester House restaurant on level 2 into a CAT A office space. The project involved the supply and installation of exposed Mitsubishi ducted VRF systems and heat recovery Ventilation units.
Coordination of the various systems was a key element with the limited ceiling heights available in parts of the floor due to the ductwork and equipment required for both FCUs and ventilation.
PROTECTOR INSURANCE
This project located on Hardman Street in Manchester involved modifications and additions to the existing 4 pipe Fan Coil systems and Central Ventilation system.
PKB
Pot kettle Black is a coffee shop located within Angel Gardens, Manchester. The project involved the supply and installation of new Mitsubishi Electric VRF and MVHR systems.
A Purified air system was installed as part of the kitchen ventilation which included Electrostatic Precipitators (ESPs) for Oil, grease and Smoke filtration and Ultra Violet Ozone generators (UVOs) and Carbon filters for odor control to meet
DEFRA regulations.
FLEXERA
The project at Flexeras office in Birchwood, Warrington, included the modifications to multiple existing Mitsubishi VRF systems to suit the new office layout.
10CW
10CW involved a refurbishment to the reception, basement, 2nd floor and 8th floor. The reception heating and ventilation were modified to suit the revised layout. A shower block, cycle store and changing area were built within the basement which included Nuaire MVHR systems. Modifications were made to the 2nd floor 4 pipe FCU and ventilation systems and the 8th floor systems were stripped out and replaced with exposed ducted Mitsubishi VRF systems and central ventilation.
CLIFTON ARMS
A £1.6m award winning refurbishment of this seafront hotel in Lytham St. Annes included the supply and installation of Mitsubishi Electric Air conditioning and MVHR systems within the reception, Bar, restaurant and new private dining areas.
1 PORTLAND STREET MANCHESTER
This project was a landlords refurb of a recently vacated floor. It involved the strip out of the existing 4 pipe chilled beams, ventilation and the installation of 3 new Mitsubishi R2 VRF systems along with new exposed galvanised ductwork connecting to the existing primary ventilation system.
BARRYS BOOTCAMP
AXD have carried out the installation of 4 Barrys Gym projects in Soho, Manchester, Canary Wharf and St. Pauls gyms.
The projects involved the strip out and removal of existing redundant services and the supply and Installation of new VRF and split air conditioning and AHU Ventilation systems.
ARM LTD
This project was a modification to a CAT A base build solution to suit the new tenants fit out.
It included the relocation of existing and the addition of new Daikin ducted fan coil units and the modification and installation of the existing Ventilation ductwork. New water and waste services were installed to a kitchen and tea points with local hot water generation.
HOLMES MILL
The supply and installation of new ventilation systems at the Homes Mill Bar and restaurant in Clitheroe, Lancashire. It involved a new AHU feeding the main bar area and extract ventilaiton to all toilets.
NES MANCHESTER
The strip out of an existing 4 pipe fan coil system and the design and installation of new Mitsubihi R2 VRF systems and Ventilation. All equipment and services were exposed with new suspended ceiling rafts installed below.
